Carpet Products

Carpet, like no other material, provides a huge variety of offerings when it comes to a “one of a kind” product with an affordable value. We often accessorize with carpet when we choose one with color and pattern that reflects our personality and design style. Both carpet and the carpet industry have grown way beyond the neutral zone to achieve both a playful and sophisticated look for your home. What carpet you choose for which space speaks volumes to the human eye and to your other senses.

Carpet styles encompass texture, pattern, loops, and twists. What style are you looking for when you shop for carpet? What “look” are you envisioning for that particular space? Flooring Designs has a huge selection of carpet styles brought to you in casual, classic, modern and adventurous “looks”. No two patterns or textures are exactly the same so the variety of choices make carpet shopping fun!

Services

Texture

You can create a less formal look with a textured carpet. The yarn is usually crimped as well as twisted to produce color shadings that enhance appearance. Textured carpets are also any combination of cut and loop piles and differing pile heights. They often provide a more attractive surface texture and are quite durable.

Pattern

Go for unique and dramatic visuals when selecting pattern! Visible patterns in carpet are created with color, different yarn density, varying pile heights, as well as, tufting a design into the carpet itself. The look is great – organic patterns to geometrics abound. Pattern is everything from very subtle to quite bold.

Loop

Choose a carpet with uneven loops and you’ve got yourself some visual    texture. Uncut low, level loops are great for high traffic areas like stairs, hallways and rec. rooms. Loop pile styles include Berber, cable and sisal carpets.

Twist

Also known as a Frieze, this style of carpet is usually softer, has a longer pile height, and is a comfortable, casual look. This style features curly or nubby yarns that are highly twisted and which provide enhanced styling and performance characteristics. Which means – it’s a good choice for hiding footprints.

Saxony

If you want an elegant surface style which is considered more formal than all other styles, a Saxony is what you’re after. A Saxony carpet has a smooth, level finish where all the yarn ends are cut at the same height. Other names for this style include velvet, plush, and cut pile.

Color

Accessorize with color! Don’t be afraid to express yourself through color and pattern. Carpeting is often the largest textural element in the room and should not be underestimated when it comes to what effect it can have on your design scheme. Start your vision by choosing a carpet color that either ties together the design elements of the room, like the upholstery, drapery and wall color; or choose the carpet color to contrast with the design elements to create a real visual interest in the room. However you choose to use color, use it to the room’s best advantage and have fun selecting it.

Fibers

At Flooring Designs we carry carpet that is made from the finest quality fibers available on the market today. The manufacturers we choose to carry use only the most technically advanced manufacturing systems in the industry. The result is carpet of unprecedented quality, durability, and superior beauty. Many of the branded carpets we carry are from Stainmaster, Weardated, and Anso Caress with recycled carpet content. We offer every type of high performance fiber from nylon, olefin, polyester, Tactess nylon, and 100% New Zealand and European wools.

Wool

If you talk about beautiful carpeting, you must talk about wool!

Wool is the most luxurious, durable, and environmentally friendly carpet fiber in the world. It offers superior advantages that improve the health, comfort, and beauty of your home while contributing to the betterment of our environment. Not only is wool in itself completely biodegradable and a renewable resource but it has unsurpassed aesthetics both in its “softness” and color palette. It is an ideal selection for allergy prone people and can act as a natural air purifier. It does not promote the growth of dust mites or bacteria, and it is inherently fire retardant. The wool carpets of today are nothing like the old Berbers of yesterday. They have beautiful patterns, colors, textures, and are also quite affordable to compete with the huge synthetic carpet industry. Flooring Designs has a beautiful selection of wools to “wow” any skeptics!
